LAS VEGAS, NV – May 12, 2017 - Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT) today announced that Ponder Harrison has resigned from his position as executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
“This is an extremely difficult decision for me, as I was honored and excited at the prospect of working with Allegiant’s dynamic leadership team and being at the forefront of the company’s next phase,” said Harrison. “But the depth of responsibility in this position truly requires full-time residency in Nevada, which I have unfortunately found to be at odds with current family needs.”
A co-founder of Allegiant Travel Company, Harrison served as an executive officer and managing director of the company from 2002 through 2009. Since that time, he has continued to serve the company on business strategy matters as a consultant. Harrison will resume his consulting role with Allegiant.
“While we are disappointed that Ponder is unable to continue in a full-time executive role at Allegiant, we respect and support his decision,” said Allegiant President John Redmond. “We are pleased to continue to have the benefit of his experience and insight in a consulting role which also supports his desire for family balance.”
