Tyler Hollingsworth was appointed Allegiant’s interim Chief Operating Officer in 2025. In this role, he is responsible for supervising and managing the airline’s day-to-day operations, as well as collaborating with the leadership team to develop and implement the company’s strategic goals.
Mr. Hollingsworth began his career as a pilot in 2010, flying for the airline until 2014. He then transitioned to management, serving as the Director of Training, supporting Allegiant’s fleet transition from McDonnell Douglas aircraft to Airbus. In 2019, Mr. Hollingsworth accepted the role of Vice President of Safety, overseeing the airline’s safety programs, regulatory compliance, and risk management processes for three years. Mr. Hollingsworth led a team through the consolidation of the Safety and Security departments at Allegiant and implemented transformative methodologies for safety system design. His vision facilitated Allegiant’s adoption of an integrated data management approach, enhancing robust oversight and hazard identification programs. Moreover, he helped guide Allegiant through the COVID-19 pandemic, and under his leadership, Allegiant was recognized by Airline Ratings as a "Seven-Star airline for safety and COVID-19 protection."
Following his success in Safety and Security, Mr. Hollingsworth was promoted to Senior Vice President of Flight Crew Operations, a position he held until becoming interim COO. In this role, Mr. Hollingsworth led teams overseeing the Operation Control Center, Flight Operations, and Inflight Operations. He has also held various leadership roles in training.
Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in South America, Mr. Hollingsworth moved to Santa Barbara, CA with his family at the age of 13. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautics, aviation, and aerospace science and technology from Everglades University.
