HEBRON, Ky. Feb. 4, 2015 — Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) today celebrates the start of seasonal, low-cost service to New Orleans from CVG. Local travelers can now laissez les bon temps rouler in the Big Easy just in time for Mardi Gras with fares as low as $66 one-way.
New Orleans is the first of two new cities Allegiant will be launching from CVG in February, with flights to Jacksonville, Fla. beginning Feb. 12. Both cities were previously served non-stop from CVG by other carriers and were recently discontinued. Cincinnati is the first city to be connected with Allegiant's newest destination and will offer travelers their first low-cost option for flights to New Orleans.
“Allegiant is dedicated to providing low-cost vacation travel to our Cincinnati passengers,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning. “We're excited to restore non-stop service to New Orleans so local travelers will continue to have access to this popular destination.”
The seasonal flights will operate twice weekly from the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) through May 4, 2015. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.
