JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Feb. 12, 2016 — Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) today celebrates one year of flights to Jacksonville International Airport.
“We could not be more thrilled to celebrate a year of affordable, nonstop flights to Jacksonville,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “Allegiant has brought more than 33,000 visitors to Jacksonville in our first year of service with two year-round nonstop routes, and we look forward to the increase Jacksonville will see this spring when we launch three more routes to this renowned destination.”
Allegiant began year-round service to Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) on Feb. 12, 2015 with nonstop flights from Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. New year-round nonstop flights to Jacksonville from New Orleans; Memphis, Tennessee; and Richmond, Virginia will begin April 2016. Since launching service, Allegiant has operated more than 200 flights and brought more than 33,000 visitors to Jacksonville.
