SAVANNAH, Ga. April 8, 2016 — Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) today inaugurates two new, nonstop routes from Indianapolis and Pittsburgh to Savannah / Hilton Head. To celebrate Allegiant’s new service, the company, known for its exceptional travel deals, is offering one-way fares on the new routes for as low as $58.*
“Allegiant is very pleased to add these two new routes to Savannah / Hilton Head,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “Travelers from Indianapolis and Pittsburgh can now conveniently and affordably enjoy summer vacations in this charming Southern destination.”

The new routes will operate twice weekly and expand on the service Allegiant currently operates to Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport (SAV). With the two new routes, Allegiant will fly from five cities to Savannah / Hilton Head after beginning service in 2015. The company will also be adding two more routes from Baltimore / Washington D.C. and Lexington, Kentucky later this summer. The flights will bring more than 68,000 additional visitors each year to the Savannah / Hilton Head area and generate $12.8 million in annual visitor spending. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.
“We have known for some time that there is great potential for success in connecting great cities like Indianapolis and Pittsburgh with Savannah, Hilton Head, and the Low Country with direct and affordable air service,” said Gregory B. Kelly, Savannah Airport Commission executive director. “As such, we are very pleased to see that Allegiant has chosen to do just that. We will work very closely with our regional marketing partners to ensure the success and growth of this service.”
“We see visitors to Savannah from Pennsylvania and Indiana all year long, but up to this point, they have been traveling here by car,” said Joseph Marinelli, Visit Savannah president. “With Allegiant’s new service, these same folks and their friends, families and neighbors can now make the trip even quicker. And for those looking for an easy-to-get-to getaway destination, Savannah is exactly what they are looking for.”
Allegiant’s innovative business model has allowed it to grow from one plane and one route to offering access to low-cost flights in over 100 cities nationwide, more than any other domestic low-cost carrier.
