LAS VEGAS. May 19, 2016 Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) today celebrates the beginning of low-cost, nonstop service between Las Vegas and Sonoma, California. The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, is offering one-way fares on the route as low as $35.

“Allegiant is very excited to connect Wine Country with the Entertainment Capital of the World with this new route,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “We look forward to Sonoma area travelers conveniently and affordably visiting Las Vegas, as well as giving Las Vegas area residents the opportunity to visit Sonoma County’s world-famous wineries.”

The new flights will operate twice weekly and expand on the service from over 50 cities that Allegiant currently operates to McCarran International Airport (LAS). The new flights will bring more than 36,000 additional visitors each year to Las Vegas and generate an additional $10.6 million for the economy. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.

“McCarran International Airport is pleased to welcome Allegiant’s newest flights to Las Vegas,” said Clark County Aviation Director Rosemary A. Vassiliadis, who oversees the nation’s ninth-busiest airport. “We know from experience that travelers largely prefer nonstop flights, and with these new offerings Allegiant will soon make it easier for more people to experience all Las Vegas has to offer.”

“We are delighted that our partners at Allegiant continue to expand service to Las Vegas,” said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “With a new record of more than 42 million visitors last year, every new seat provides opportunity for continued growth.”
Allegiant’s innovative business model has allowed it to grow from one plane and one route to offering access to low-cost flights in over 100 cities nationwide, more than any other domestic low-cost carrier. Allegiant passengers can enjoy unique savings by bundling their air, hotel, car and even activity and attraction reservations together for less.
